To search the multiple volumes of each for Students set online, enter the author's name or the title of the work into the search box. Be sure to check the box to search all volumes.

Critical Survey & Masterplots series: Online

Literary Reference Center Plus (produced by EBSCO) provides entries from the Masterplots and Critical Survey series plus literary analysis and criticism. Login is required.

To search for a summary and/or overview, enter the author's name or the title of the short story (or a combination), use the dropdown menu to select Subject Author for the author's name and/or Title of Work for the title of the work. Check the Full Text box, then click SearchCritical Survey and Masterplots series are included in the results, as well as articles from literary magazines and journals. Mouse over the magnifying glass at the end of the article title for an abstract (summary) of the item.
