Keywords for Database Searches

Choose only the  most important words for your search statement.  For instance, if you are researching the treatment for ADHD, use:

treatment ADHD

ADHD is an acronym for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, so you could also try:

treatment attention deficit hyperactivity disorder

But since attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is a phrase, use quotes around the phrase, and enter your words this way:

treatment "attention deficit hyperactivity disorder"

You can also include both ADHD and "attention deficit hyperactivity disorder" in one search by using OR between the ADHD and "attention deficit hyperactivity disorder"

However, you must use parentheses around the OR'd words, like this:

treatment (ADHD OR "attention deficit hyperactivity disorder")
